Hello there y’all! Today is a new challenge at SUO Challenges where our theme is flowers and I’d love for you to join us. My project will be posted tomorrow as part of my design work at ATSM. I had to make it all work again. This is another kind of Valentine’s Day card.
Today, I’m sharing a relatively clean and simple card using what I would consider a “sleeper” suite of Sunshine Sayings. I love the die-cuts in this set and have crunched on it for years. The words are thick and I love that, making die-cut stacking easy while adding dimension and creating a chipboard effect. In the new Occasions Catalog (Spring Catalog), on page 27, the Well Said Bundle is featured that has at least 20 word dies, but they are more so on the skinny side with some substance.
I went to my default sketch with an unusual color combination of Fresh Fig, Grapefruit Grove, and Very Vanilla. This project has a Fresh Fig card base, print from Share What You Love Specialty DSP, a Very Vanilla panel dry embossed with the Tufted Dynamic Impressions Embossing Folder for the darling little pillow-like puffs that Grapefruit Grove Share What You Love Artisan Pearls, and die-cuts from Sunshine Wishes (heart and love), all from the Annual Catalog.
The beautiful and so easy to work with Petal Pink and Whisper White 5/8″ Variegated Ribbon is from the Spring Occasions Catalog and the Love die-cut has Grapefruit Grove Foil layered on top from Sale-A-Bration, which is free with a $50 purchase until March 31 or while supplies last. It all worked.
Y’all know I’m big on texture and dimension, and stacking die-cuts is one way of achieving it that also allows you to use anything as chipboard, mixed media or scrapbook pages. There’s really no limits here. I usually cut 2-3 layers of cardstock and add any specialty CS on top.
Now that my stitches are out, after I get a manicure and the Steri-Strips off, I’m definitely filming the requested videos for you. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me today. Have a great day and God bless.
Beautiful card! I love the dimension and design from that pretty embossing folder!
