Stamping on Colored Cardstock

Hello there! Today I have another old school technique for you of tone-on-tone and variation with Colorful Seasons and Oh So Eclectic.

Tone-on-tone stamping and variation has been around for a long time. There’s such a difference between laying down colored ink on white cardstock and colored ink on colored cardstock. I have rich colors of Bermuda Bay, Cherry Cobbler, and Pacific Point with a bright light of Lemon Lime Twist. The images are from the retiring Oh So Eclectic and the sentiment is from the returning Colorful Seasons.

My card base is standard A2 top-folding Cherry Cobbler. The image panel is 4 x 5-1/4. The leaves were stamped first in Lemon Lime Twist directly onto Whisper White. Pacific Point ink was applied to a flower image and applied to Bermuda Bay cardstock. All of the images are Distinktive images, which also allows for great shading with one ink color, as you see on the Cherry Cobbler tone-on-tone center flower image. The sentiment was stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black. The flowers were die-cut with their coordinating dies, popped onto Stampin’ Dimensionals, arranged and adhered. I found a cute little Tranquil Tide button (that matches perfectly) and tied white twine through it from leftover a Paper Pumpkin kit, and adhered that to the flowers.

I hope you enjoyed today’s really simple project with this great color combination. Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me. Have a great day and God bless.
