SUO Challenge 285 ~ Oktoberfest!

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for our new challenge at SUOChallenges. We have a very fun theme challenge of Oktoberfest! This one is pretty much wide open as to your interpretation.

After I made this super clean and simple card, I Googled Oktoberfest. Despite the fact that I’ve been to many of these events all over the US, they are all pretty much about fall colors, beer, and pretzels.

In my defense, I do not like beer or carbs, and would always grab a cocktail instead; hence, my interpretation.

This was created from the Love You More Than Bundle with our fabulous Hostess Reward Pattern Party Designer Series Paper.

As always, your Supplies and Instructions, with measurements, are below.

I started out with a top-folding A2 card base and layered on a piece of Pattern Party DSP at the far left. I cut a piece of Basic Black and Basic White Regular CS to the specifications listed below. I adhered the Basic Black CS to the left of the Basic White Regular CS with Tear & Tape. I set this aside to work on my sentiment and image.

I stamped the cocktail glass in Memento Tuxedo Black onto a piece of Basic White Regular CS and stamped in the filler images of the cocktail in Pool Party, fruit in Crushed Curry, and umbrella in Poppy Parade. I cut the image from it’s coordinating die and placed Stampin’ Dimensionals on the back.

I placed the image panel into my Stamparatus to size up my image placement with the sentiments and stamped the sentiments in Memento Tuxedo Black.

I removed the adhesive backs from the cocktail glass Stampin’ Dimensionals and adhered this in the center of the sentiments.

I added more Stampin’ Dimensionals to the image panel and once again, used my Stamparatus tool to line everything up to adhere.

This is such a simple, yet striking sketch, that can be used for any occasion and all of our products, when you need a quick card that any recipient will enjoy.
