Hello there y’all! I made this for SUO Challenges 217 #SUOC217 where we are Sale-A-Brating products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration offerings. We would love to have you participate with us. I chose All That You Are and colored it in with colored pencils and a Blending Pen for a very clean and simple card that I’m going to hand-deliver to my wonderful neighbors, who always snowplow my driveway and sidewalk for me. I am so grateful!
A lot of the time when you color with any medium, you’re going to lose your lines that generally become muddled blending into the image. Sometimes you want this, other times you do not. I put down the outline as crisp as possible several times with my Stamparatus and then I leave the image on the door of the Stamparatus as I’m laying down color on the image. Once dry, I line the image panel back up in the Stamparatus and reapply the ink, which is exactly what the tool was intended for.
I used a combination of greens and purples to achieve this look with markers and watercolor pencils. The Blender Pen helped smooth rough areas over and others I left in for organics. This card uses products from all 3 current publications. A strip of Botanical Butterfly DSP as applied to the bottom of the image panel and tied with Blackberry Bliss Nature’s Twine. The coordination of the color palette makes it easy to design. The pearls and rhinestones have retired, but I’m using them up, and used as tiny accents for the center of the little flowers.
I have a few projects sitting on my desk that I need to share with you that mainly feature what I call “sleeper” sets that definitely deserve and look and creative time with.
Thank you so much for stopping by to visit me. Have a great day and God bless.
This is so pretty! I love the definition of the crisp outline!
