Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #321, where our theme is St. Patrick’s Day or Shades of Green, and hope that you join us.
I am featuring Annual Catalog products today of Beauty of Friendship, the coordinating Beautiful Trees Dies, 2 different designer series papers, embellishments, ribbon, ink blending, and various markers.
These were so easy to make and took about 30 minutes. I always sketch hunt from projects I have made before and pick my products at the same time so it all works.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below. For today’s projects, I will be providing measurements in the narrative.
Both cards use the same colors of Mint Macaron and Coastal Cabana with Basic Black splashed in. In retrospect, the sentiment on the left card should be in black and I am going to fix this because I am that neurotic fussy.
For our first card, I have an A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Basic White Thick CS base. The Subtles 6 x 6 DSP in Mint Macaron was cut to 4 x 5-1/4 and adhered to the card base with Seal Adhesive.
I cut the Basic White Regular CS image panel to 3 x 5-1/4. I inked up Soft Succulent onto a Large Blending Brush and worked my way in from the right to the center applying the ink. Outside of the Soft Succulent, I brought in Mint Macaron with a Small Blending Brush on both sides and then Soft Sea Foam.
A Stampin’ Spritzer filled with water was lightly used to pull the color off with a paper towel for an ink mottled look.
I stamped the sentiment from Beauty of Friendship onto a piece of Basic White Regular CS and used the coordinating Beautiful Trees Dies to cut, and also added the standalone large tree die and bird dies to the CS then ran it all through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine.
I adhered the tree to the image panel with liquid adhesive and the sentiment with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I inked up the bird with the a Small Blending Brush loaded with Mint Macaron and used a Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker to draw in the bird’s eye. The bird was adhered right above the sentiment with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
The image panel was adhered to the card base with Adhesive Foam Strips.
I took a Coastal Cabana Stampin’ Write Marker and flicked ink splatters onto the card using the cap of the marker.
I adhered 5 green For Everything Fancy Sequins to the image panel with our Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
I tied a tiny bow from Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon and adhered that to the card base with a Mini Glue Dot to the right of the sentiment.
For our second card, I cut a Mint Macaron CS base to an A2 top-folding 4-1/4 x 5-1/2. I cut another Mint Macaron piece of CS to 4 x 5-1/4 and ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine in the Timber 3D Embossing Folder. This was adhered to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The largest DistINKtive treetop from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set was stamped with Mint Macron ink onto Mint Macaron CS then cut from its coordinating Beautiful Trees Dies.
I cut a piece of Perfectly Penciled DSP to 4 x 1-/2 and cut a piece of Coastal Cabana CS to 4 x 1/2″. I adhered the Coastal Cabana CS to the bottom of the embossed panel with Tear & Tape Adhesive and adhered the DSP 1/4″ above that with Seal Adhesive as I tucked the tree under the DSP with Seal Adhesive and a Mini Stampin’ Dimesional at the top for dimension.
The sentiment was stamped onto Basic White Regular CS with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink and cut from the smallest Stitched Rectangle Die and adhered to a piece of Coastal Cabana CS that I trimmed to size using my Paper Trimmer. I added a small piece of Tear & Tape to the back of the sentiment to weave the Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon then adhered the entirety to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I inked up the bird above the sentiment as described above and adhered this above the sentiment with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
To embellish, I adhered the fancy sequins with our Fine-Tip Glue Pen and used a Dark Bermuda Bay Stampin’ Blend to color 3 Iridescent Pearl Basic Jewels.
I hope you enjoyed today’s projects and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
