SUOC #335 | Silhouette Stamping | Forever Forest Bundle

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #335, where our theme is Silhouette Stamping, and hope that you join us!

I did a video not too long ago featuring the color blocking technique and this can apply to Silhouette Stamping as well.

silhouette • \sil-uh-WET\ • noun. 1 a : a picture (as a drawing or cutout) of the outline of an object filled in with a solid usually black color b : a profile portrait done in silhouette 2 : the shape or outline of something; especially : the outline of an object seen or as if seen against the light.

I took some creative liberty with this challenge to share with you how I interpreted this challenge using Gray Granite CS with black and white heat embossing, and an ink-blended background with black heat embossing.

Nature’s Prints stamp set was used for the gold embossed sentiment onto Vellum CS and a retired Crimper was used to add texture to the Crumb Cake CS banner. Black and White Gingham Ribbon with embellishments were used to complete these projects. All of the cards were created using the same sketch. The only difference is how the image is presented.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with my card bases and then went about cutting the Gray Granite CS and a piece of Basic White Regular CS to size, then set aside to cut, punch, and crimp the Crumb Cake CS.

I stamped the sentiment 3x onto Vellum CS with Versamark ink and heat embossed with gold powder. I cut the sentiments to size and punched the banner in.

To create the ink-blended card, I started at the bottom with Poppy Parade, Pumpkin Pie, and then Daffodil Delight using our large Blending Brushes. It’s important to heat set this or set aside to dry this panel before stamping and embossing the tree image.

Once the panel was dry, I stamped the large tree image from the Forever Forest Bundle onto the ink-blended panel with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and heat embossed this with clear powder.

For the Granite Gray CS panels, I stamped the image in Memento Tuxedo Black ink that was heat embossed using clear powder and Versamark ink that was heat embossed using white powder.

For final assembly, I adhered all of the image panels to the card bases with Tear & Tape due to how much I had worked with this panels with ink and heat embossing to keep them laid down to the card bases.

The Crumb Cake crimped banner was also adhered with Tear & Tape under the image panel.

The Vellum sentiment was stapled to the left of the card. I put a Mini Glue Dot over the staple and adhered the bows that I tied with Black & White Gingham Ribbon.

I embellished with Festive Pearls and Iridescent Pearls.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
