SUOC201 ~ Father's Day/Masculine Theme

Hello there! Today at Stampin’ Up! Only Challenges (#SUOC201), we have a Father’s Day/masculine theme going on. Please join us!

I know that some of you struggle with masculine cards. Keep it simple and in the Regal/Neutrals Collection. I’m thrilled over the color revamp. It was desperately needed, as well as the new style of ink pads. Mine are over a decade old and were definitely showing their age, but held up extremely well through several cross-country moves. I’m having a great time playing with the delicious new colors that beautifully coordinate with the current lineup. Your favorite In Colors have returned too! This card was very easy to create and was pure stamping. Nothing special or fancy. Just good old fashioned stamping. I used Jute Twine and the new Tranquil Textures Sprinkles to embellish. The sprinkles are like little pebbles and not all of them are beads with a hole in the center. I turned the blue sprinkle on its side. I love how rustic this turned out. You don’t always have to put a sentiment on the outside.

For the banner cut Mossy Meadow cardstock, I used the Tailored Tag Punch. This allowed me to get a great, even centered up cut. All I had to do was trim the excess cardstock with my Paper Snips. I have a fantastic idea for this punch that I’ll be featuring in a video later this week; so please stop back by.

I carried over the simplicity to the inside by stamping a sentiment from Thoughtful Banners in Soft Suede and another pine tree image in Mossy Meadow from Waterfront. I also added a strip of Wood Textures DSP at the bottom of the inside.

On a side note, I’m absolutely terrible on social media and I have a lot on my Instagram that I do not blog about.
