Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Stampin’ Up! Only Challenge #313, where we have a coloring theme and hope that you join us!
I love these types of challenges were you can mix and match color mediums freely. Our ink pads and Stampin’ Blends were used today on the fantastic line art afforded to you with the Apple Harvest stamp set. The coordinating Apple Blossom Dies were available in September, but are now retired. However, the stamp set is not and when that happens, I keep the dies on board until the stamp set retires. I’m a purist, but very practical about it.
The line art on the image and sentiment panels were stamped off x3 in Poppy Parade and So Saffron to offset the white space a little bit.
I brought in our at least a decade retired Vintage Trinkets using one of the mini safety pins. As you know, I always keep the basic staples on board and ones that are sewing or household items. A white gel pen was used to accent the apples.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with an A2 Poppy Parade card base and stamped the X image around the outside of the card base with full strength Poppy Parade ink with one of our Clear Blocks. I use the Clear Blocks frequently with our Cling Mount Stamps.
Next, the image panel was cut from Basic White Regular CS with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die. I stamped off So Saffron x3 on the image panel.
I cut a length of Brights 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper and adhered it to the image panel with liquid adhesive.
I wrapped a length of the fabulous Soft Sea Foam Seam Binding Ribbon around the center of the DSP tying the ribbon into a knot, as shown below.
I stamped the sentiment from Charming Sentiments with Early Espresso ink onto Basic White Regular CS that was cut from a Stitched Shapes Circle Die. I used the X and flower image from Apple Harvest stamped off x3 with Poppy Parade ink around the sentiment to accent. I used one of our retired hand punches to die-cut in the whole at the top of the sentiment circle. I ran through the hole punch + fastened the mini safety pin through the knot of the ribbon so the circle sentiment was free-falling and adjustable.
The large apple image was stamped onto Basic White Thick CS with Crumb Cake ink.
I used Stampin’ Blends to color in the image:
- Leaves: Granny Apple Green.
- Branches: Early Espresso.
- Apples: Real Red.
The image was cut from its coordinating Apple Blossoms Die and adhered to the image panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
For final assembly, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the image panel that was then secured to the card base.
Two large and 3 small clear Elegant Faceted Gems to scattered about the image panel to accent.
For the inside, I adhered a piece of Poppy Parade Bright 6 x 6 Designer Series Paper at the bottom of a 4-1/4 and 5-1/2 Basic White Regular CS and then ran it through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the largest Stitched Rectangle Die.
The sentiment is from Apple Harvest stamped in Early Espresso ink.
The panel was adhered to the inside with Seal Adhesive.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
