Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a fun shaker card created from the Sweetest Christmas Suite Collection. This suite collection has that cover plate that I love in Candy Cane Dies. As this shaker card covers the entire card base, I used the entire container of Sparkle & Shine Sequins Assortment.
I brought in Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper, Stylish Shapes Die-Cuts, Whimsical Woodland 3D Embossing Folder, and Sparkle & Shine Sequins Assortment, completed with Petal Pink, Flirty Flamingo, and Soft Sea Foam non-traditional Christmas colors.
Shaker cards are fun and easy to make that every recipient loves to receive.
The Sweetest Christmas Suite Collection is what I would consider to be a double collection with 2 stamp sets, 2 collections of die-cuts, 1 package of designer series paper, 1 package of glimmer paper, 2 rolls of ribbon, and a package of sequins. You can find this collection on pages 8-11 of the Holiday Catalog.
I sent out a NEWSLETTER today that I highly encourage you to read. It is packed full of information about our Annual Seasonal Sale that started today, a new In Color + a preview of the 2023 Sale-A-Bration Brochure! I also invite you to sign up to receive my newsletters HERE.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
I started out with a Petal Pink CS card base and cut another piece of Petal Pink CS to the measurement below. I ran this panel through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine with the cover plate from the Candy Cane Dies, which is part of the Sweetest Christmas Suite Collection.
I cut a Window Sheet to size to adhere under the cover plate with Tear & Tape Adhesive. Foam Adhesive Strips were adhered to the back of the Window Sheet.
I cut a piece of Soft Sea Foam Painted Christmas Designer Series Paper to size and adhered this to the Petal Pink CS card base with Seal.
I set all of the above aside to start my stamping, die-cutting, and embossing.
I cut the large sentiment banner and large circle panel from Basic White Regular CS from Stylish Shapes Dies. The circle panel was embossed with the Whimsical Woodland 3D EF. The Sweet Candy Canes sentiment was stamped onto the large banner with Memento Tuxedo Black ink.
The candy canes were stamped onto Basic White Regular CS with Petal Pink ink. I used a Sponge Dauber to apply Flirty Flamingo around the edges of the candy canes and re-stamped to add the color to the candy canes, which were then cut from their coordinating Candy Cane Dies.
Two leaf sprigs from Sweet Candy Canes were stamped onto Basic White Regular CS with Soft Sea Foam and cut from their coordinating dies.
The berries were die-cut from Real Red Glimmer Paper using the Christmas Banner Dies, which is part of the Sweetest Christmas Suite Collection.
For final assembly, I poured the shaker card “guts,” which are the Sparkle & Shine Sequins Assortment on top of the card base making sure that the guts were away from the sides of the base so I could adhere the cover plate/window sheet on top creating the shaker. The thick Foam Adhesive Strips keep the shaker guts inside when you shake the card.
I adhered the circle to the top center and sentiment at the bottom with Tear & Tape Adhesive.
The candy canes, leaf sprigs, and berries were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
