Make the Cards Challenge 52: Shades of Yellow With Celebrate Sunflowers

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for Make the Cards Challenge 52, MTCC52, where we are doing shades of yellow today and hope that you join us!

I broke out the fabulous Celebrate Sunflowers Bundle with our Stampin’ Blends, 2 different designer series paper, and Blending Brushes + masks.

As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.

I started out with an A2 Basic White Thick card base and lightly ink blended So Saffron onto the card base with a Blending Brush and the one of the floral masks from Butterflies & Flowers to subdue the white space with a soft pattern and color.

I cut the sentiment DSP to my desired size and stamped the sentiment on with Memento Tuxedo Black and then adhered to the bottom of the card with Seal.

I cut the woodgrain DSP from In Good Taste to desired size that was adhered above the sentiment panel with liquid adhesive.

I then stamped 2 large leaves, the large sunflower, and the 2 small sunflowers in Smoky Slate ink onto a piece of Basic White Thick CS and left the images on the lid of my Stamparatus.

I used the light and dark Stampin’ Blends to color in the flowers and leaves. I lay down the dark color first and blend out with the light marker.

Flowers: Daffodil Delight

Leaves: Old Olive

Stamen: Soft Suede

Once all of the images were colored, I inserted the CS back into the Stamparatus and re-stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black to crisp up the art lines with no mess or risk of blurring.

The images were cut with their coordinating die-cuts.

I used my Bone Folder to curl up the edges of the leaves and adhered all of the images to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Three Brass Butterflies were used to embellish.

There’s a lot of great dimension to this card and was really easy to make.

The inside was created much like the outside with the DSP and ink blending. This can be used as a birthday card or any congratulatory.

I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
