Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for an introduction to and four cards that I created from the amazing Texture Chic Suite Collection.
I really wish I had unpacked this much sooner, but this one covers all seasons of the year with great colors, designer series paper, gold distressed speciality paper, and fabulous layering die-cuts. The creative possibilities are absolutely endless with this suite.
For these cards, I inlaid the gold distressed die-cuts atop of the window image after the image panel was adhered to the card base. It was a little tricky but not difficult at all, as this was a last minute decision. You could easily see the DSP images through the die-cut image panel; they just needed more definition and gold overlays were perfect.
These cards would make a great gift or class. The sentiment is neutral enough to where you could write any message you need to on the inside to convey your thoughts.
As always, your shopping Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, are below.
All of the cards have the exact measurements and I winged where to cut in the dies for consistency around the upper right.
I started out with an A2 top-folding Basic White Thick CS base and then cut my image panels down to size. The bottom right corners were rounded.
I cut in the image open dies of the shell, leaf, snowflake, and flower towards the upper right. I stamped the sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black and ran it through the Painted Texture Embossing Folder.
Before you emboss the image panel, you will want to low heat set the black ink or let it dry because it will show up on the next panel if you’re not paying attention … ask me how I know.
I lined up the coordinating image Texture Chic Specialty Designer Series Paper behind where I cut the dies, as the images do line up within the die, and adhered the DSP to the card base with liquid adhesive.
I tied my ribbon around the left side of the image panel.
For final assembly, I added Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the image panel and adhered it to the card base.
It was at this time where I felt I needed more definition to my designer series paper images. I adhered an Adhesive Sheet to the back of the Distressed Gold Specialty Paper. I laid a piece of wax paper on top of the paper and then ran the detail image dies through the Stampin’ Cut & Emboss Machine. The wax paper really helps release the fine detailed die-cuts release from the die and minimizes tearing.
I peeled off the Adhesive Sheet from the cuts and inlaid the cut within the open die-cut space on the image panel.
Four large gold sequins from Adhesive-Backed Seasonal Sequins were adhered to various places atop of the inlaid gold dies.
I hope you enjoyed today’s project and please let me know if you have any questions.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
