Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a Beautiful You and Best Dressed DSP card set.
The real story is using forgotten die-cuts in our stash. I have to write something snappy in the first line as it gets auto-published to my IG and FB pages, which I never monitor or even interact with. That’s bad and I’m so sorry; although I’m going to start this week on FB. I’m just not a big social media person.
I thought I would combine Beautiful You with the Best Dressed DSP to make these coordinating cards. As I was putting these together, I wanted to do something different with the image panel, and went through my stash. I used the “slope” die from In the Woods to alter the bottom of the image panel. This is another staple die and we all forget about them. I think shaped cards/image panels have a lot of personality to them.
I used all of the line art images in this set and inked them up with Crumb Cake. All of the Instructions and measurements are below for you if you want to CASE, which are the same for all 3 cards. I eyeballed where to place the “slope” die-cut from In the Woods for a uniform look.
All of the images were lightly colored with Watercolor Pencils and I used Blender Pens to pull the color out. Flirty Flamingo, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Gorgeous Grape, and Daffodil Delight are the colors that I used.
I also used Stampin’ Write Markers to color directly onto the cling-mount stamp image with Crumb Cake and Pretty Peacock for the “puddle of water.” The sentiments were all stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black.
I used Paper Snips to trim the colored scallop edges off the Seaside Spray Scalloped Linen Ribbon, wrapped it around twice at the top, and tied into a bow at the left side.
Thank you for stopping by for a visit today. I hope these cards have inspired you in some way. As always, I love to see what you do. Have a great day and God bless.
