Tropical Oasis Aloha Shaker Card

Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a Tropical Oasis shaker card.

I brought in several different products to complete this card of the sequins and frame (embossed with Coastal Weave EF) from the Woven Heirlooms Product Suite, with June 2019 Paper Pumpkin, A Little Smile, of the glitter sand dollar and vellum coral; plus a Clearance Rack item from the Holiday Catalog of the Come to Gather Cajun Craze Twine. The Soft Suede scripty print is from the Very Versailles stamp set.

The card base is an A2, top-folding Crumb Cake impressed as described above. I layered a piece of Tropical Oasis DSP die-cut with the largest Stitched Rectangle frame. I wrapped Cajun Craze Twine around the top third and secured it to the back of the DSP. I cut 2 lengths of the twine, threaded on a leaf trinket, then tied a cheater’s bow to the far left. The DSP was adhered with liquid glue.

I die-cut the rectangle from Heirloom Frames with Sahara Sand CS and ran it through the Coastal Weave EF. As you’ve seen in my videos, I use the Stamparatus for everything as a measuring tool or a third hand. I cut a piece of Whisper White CS to 3 x 4, placed the embossed frame on top so I could position the palm tree image from Timeless Tropical on the door of the Stamparatus. The door picked the stamp up, I removed the frame, selectively inked the image in Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, and Soft Suede.

I used Foam Adhesive Strips all the way around the outer edges of the image panel. I cut these strips and left the adhesive backing on while I dropped in the Woven Threads Sequin Assortment. The Woven Threads Product Suite’s colors are extremely complimentary to Tropical Oasis. I adhered Tear & Tape around the back of the Sahara Sand frame, cut a piece of 3 x 4 Window Sheet, and adhered it to the back of the frame. I pulled off the backing from the foam adhesive and used the Stamparatus to place the shaker part in the corner to use to line up the frame on top. Tear & Tape was applied to the back of the shaker element and adhered to the card.

The glitter sand dollar and vellum coral are from the June 2019 Paper Pumpkin Kit, A Little Smile, that was adhered directly to the lower right of the frame with glue dots. The Aloha die was cut 4x from Terracotta Tile CS and stacked with liquid glue on the Silicone Craft Sheet. Liquid glue was then dropped onto the back of the Aloha die-cut and adhered to the frame.

I really hope you enjoyed today’s card. Thank you for stopping by for a visit. Have a great day and God bless.
