Hello there! Thank you for joining me today for a project created with the Whimsy & Wonder Suite Collection, where today’s focus is on the little pieces; using up designer series paper scraps, with a smaller focal image, background stamping of the Christmas Tree ornaments or lights, 2 sentiments, and partial cut elements. I used every product in this suite collection and mixed my neutrals. It’s also okay to use 2 sentiments on the front in different colors. This suite is out-of-the box simple for the non-traditional colors. I challenge you to take it a step further to create with the little pieces.
I also brought in 2 additional colors of Poppy Parade and Old Olive, which coordinates beautifully with the suite collection color palette.
As always, your shopping list of Supplies and Instructions, including measurements, is below.
I started out with an A2 card base in Very Vanilla Thick CS, which is a neutral that I definitely need to utilize more, and stamped the light/ornament stamp around the edges of the card base with Mossy Meadow with Clear Block E. My Mossy Meadow ink pad needs to be refilled and this lighter, stamping off color definitely works.
I then cut a piece of Polished Pink CS and a piece of Mint Macaron Whimsy & Wonder Designer Specialty Series Paper.
I cut 3 additional pieces of Whimsy & Wonder to the measurements listed below and adhered these to the Mint Macaroon piece of DSP with liquid adhesive.
I cut a Wonderful Snowflake in half and adhered this directly under the last strip of DSP with tiny dots of liquid adhesive. I then cut a length of the Blushing Bride Frayed Grosgrain Ribbon and used this to cover up where the DSP meets the snowflake. The tails of the ribbon where adhered to the back of the DSP with Tear & Tape and Seal adhesives.
I built up the sentiment panel from the top down and added the sentiments last in Mossy Meadow and Polished Pink for cohesive placement.
I adhered the sentiment panel to the card base with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
You can already see the dimension and texture I’ve built up. I knew I wanted to use the little holly berry image as a focal point and stamped that onto a piece of Basic White Thick CS with Smoky Slate ink, leaving the image on the lid of my Stamparatus. I colored in the leaves with Old Olive Blends and the berries with a Light Poppy Parade Blend. After coloring the image with our Blends, I re-stamped the image with Memento Tuxedo Black to crisp up my lines. The image was then cut with its coordinating die.
I cut the smallest scalloped Layering Circle Die from Very Vanilla Basic CS and added a few Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals to the back of the circle and adhered to the card base as shown.
Stampin’ Dimensionals were added to the back of the holly berries and adhered to the center or the scalloped circle.
I kept the inside simple by adhering 2 additional scrap pieces of DSP to the inside of the card and stamping the sentiment in Misty Moonlight.
I would love to see what you create with the Whimsy & Wonder Suite Collection!
I hope you enjoyed today’s project. Thank you for stopping by for a visit and have a great day!
